Why science matters for Saudi:
In order to move away from the dependence on the highly profitable oil industry, other industries have to take its place. Science and technology-based industries happen to be one of the most profitable and sustainable alternatives. To grow and gain a competitive advantage in such industries, the creation of innovative businesses with global demand has to be fostered, and one of the ways to do this is by conducting cutting edge research in STEM.
