Best thing about KGSP:
The Community and being surrounded by outstanding peers to motivate me to accomplish more and provide support.
Why science matters for Saudi:
As a country, we need to develop knowledge and cooperate with other scientists around the world. Science is the basis of all research and economics.
Best classes so far / What I’m doing now:
Embedded System, the study of micro-systems, which combines the study of software and hardware for small devices. It was a good mix between theoretical and practical experience which allowed me to create my own IOP application.
Best experience so far / How KGSP helped me:
Summer internships, specifically DOW Chemical, which allowed me to receive a high standard education and apply all my theoretical knowledge to practical use. It allowed me to see how a chemical company operates and the responsibilities of an engineer.
Advice for newbies:
Always be active; your academics, extracurricular, and social life. Seek advice from upper class-men because their guidance is important and helpful.
In five years I’ll be…
A young engineer with a master's degree from KAUST and few years of experience looking to advance my career further.
Research Interests:
Communications Systems, it is something I am interested in and it is continuously growing with technology advancements.
Awards and Achievements:
I have been on the Dean's list since my Freshman year. My Underwater robotics team advanced to semi-finals of the 2018 RoboSub Tournament in San Diego, California.
