KGSP Students’ Business Pitch Wins at ASU’s Global Launch Program
During Summer 2018, fourteen KGSP students participated in a new global training program, Global Launch, at Arizona State University (ASU). Global Launch teaches students about creating their own businesses, learn new skills in marketing, finance, advertising, and network with venture mentors from the ASU Entrepreneurship and Innovation Venture Devils program.
As a final capstone of the program, KGSP students worked in groups to design a new company addressing current issues in Saudi Arabia. The students developed full business plans and presented their ideas to a panel of judges composed of U.S. business people and entrepreneurs. KGSP students’ business proposal for a company called “Go Divine” which would develop and produce sensory bracelets for autistic children won the competition.
“We want to give kids with autism and their families a better quality of life while raising autism awareness in our country,” said Taher Othman, a KGSP senior majoring in chemical engineering at University of California- Davis during an interview with ASU Now.
