THE KGSP

2017 KGSP Convocation

01/11/2017

On the weekend of January 13, over four-hundred KGSP students will participate in the 2017 KGSP Convocation in Atlanta, Georgia. This year’s event will feature distinguished presenters from KAUST leadership, namely, and for the first time, KAUST President Dr. Jean-Lou Chameau and KAUST Vice President of Research, Professor Jean Fréchet.

New this year, and in line with the event's theme, “Partnership in Discovery”, are faculty-led “SciCafe” interactive sessions, student-led interviews of KAUST leadership, and a number of sessions designed to provide opportunities for the students to interact with their more senior peers who will share their research and enrichment experiences, as well as their approach to addressing the many challenges that may face KGSP students during their personal and professional journey.

Other standard sessions will also be offered to allow for rich and meaningful interaction among students and faculty, to facilitate the development of professional relationships and networks, and to deepen synergies within the KGSP community.  These include the poster session, 1:1 meetings with faculty, and the university fair. The program will conclude with a special ceremony honoring this year’s graduating seniors.

The KGSP team looks forward to a memorable, enriching, and enjoyable 2017 Convocation. See you in Atlanta!
