Project 21: Design of Future Fuels for Combustion Engines

Internship Description

The objective of the project is to study chemical kinetics of various fuel blends for optimized performance in future engines. This will primarily be an experimental study using shock tube, rapid compression machine and laser diagnostics. We will study various fuel properties such as ignition and emission.​​​

Deliverables/Expectations

A ranking of various fuel blends and development of surrogate models.
