Internship Description

Development of Raman based combustion diagnostics to enable species and temperature measurements in high pressure combustion. The intern will work on the optical set-up, the data acquisition system and the data analysis algorithm.  ​
The intern will work on developing a Raman diagnostics instrument for high pressure combustion. He will learn the fundamentals of laser diagnostics in combustion, acquire practical skills in this field, and employ them to understand combustion phenomena.  


Basic engineering knowledge required to operate safely in a combustion and laser diagnostics laboratory. Demonstrated experience in Matlab or Labview programming, or previous laboratory experience are desirable.​ 


The output of the internship will consist in tangible improvement of the diagnostic system, in the form of a better software for data acquisition or data analysis, or an experimental dataset collected in a combustion experiment. ​​
