Project 7: Experimental Study of Totally Optimal Decision Rules

Internship Description

The aim of the study is experimental investigation of existence of totally optimal decision rules which are optimal relative to two criteria: length and coverage.​
We have powerful tools to study decision rules which are based on extensions of dynamic programming. These tools include sequential optimization of decision rules relative to two criteria, construction of the set of Pareto optimal points for bi-criteria optimization problem, etc.​

Prerequisites

Some knowledge in data structures and algorithms and programming skills

Deliverables/Expectations

We expect experimental results which describe how the existence of totally optimal decision rules depends on the accuracy of such rules.
